Jose & Clara Fraguela - Senior Pastors for the Region
In 2003, Jose Fraguela was living in Los Angeles, California when God called him to return to Peru and to establish, along with his wife Clara, a mission church located in Bretaña, a village of 3,000 people that is located in the center of the Peruvian Amazon River region.
Their initial base of operations was from Iquitos, Peru, the largest city in the world with no access by roadways - only by air and water. The journey from Iquitos to Bretaña is available only via fast river taxis or slow barges. It is an eight-hour journey by river taxi and a two-day journey by barge.
God's message was that this church was to serve as a "hub" whereby Pastor Jose and Pastor Clara would begin a ministry to establish new Christian churches throughout the entire Amazon River region, stretching 125 miles in all directions.
Today, Jose and Clara focus their full energies on establishing and supporting new churches throughout the region. Ten new churches, including Bretaña , have been established in the small villages along the Amazon River.
To further God's ministry for this area of Peru, the School of the Supernatural (SOS) is being built adjacent to the Bretaña church. SOS will be used to develop, train and equip future pastors and their wives for Christian service within their respective villages.
In 2019, a two-acre plot of land was acquired next to the SOS building and has been turned into a garden used to train pastoral staffs on how to grow various crops, and raise chickens and other small animals for food. The building's kitchen will be used to teach how to cook and prepare large meals. This will assist in enhancing these rural villages by providing new food sources to the region.
Larri & Jazmin Ramirez - Pastors of Bretaña Church
Jose & Clara's daughter Jazmin and her husband, Larri, have also committed their lives and resources to serving God through Christian Missions.
Jazmin and Larri Ramirez met in Bretaña. Larri was a strong Christian and local boatman operating a small river business out of Bretaña.
Larri, with no formal training as a carpenter, and simply praying to God for instructions, started supporting the ministry by building their homes and the Missionary Church of Bretaña building. The church building is an amazing structure and the single largest building in Bretaña . Larri also assists other villages with the construction of stand-alone church buildings.
During this time frame, God called Larri and Jazmin to be pastors themselves. For several years now they have served as the pastors for the Bretaña Church. Larri and Jazmin reside in Bretaña with their three children.
